TIME FLIES WHEN YOU'RE HAVING FUN!!!!

Sawyer is 8 weeks old now!! I cannot believe how fast these past few weeks have just flown right by. We went to the Dr. today and he weighs 9lbs and 12 oz that is CORRECT!! I cannot believe that he has gained 4 pounds in 2 months!!! CRAZY!! I am so hapy that his is a healthy and growing little boy!! I got some exciting news on Monday that I will be teaching 5th and 6th grade history at Pike LIberal Arts School in Troy! I am so excited yet nervous at the same time. I know I will cry when I have to leave Sawyer and go to work! I can start working on my classroom next week and cannot wait!! But back to what Sawyer and I have been up to! We went swimming at my parents and he even took his first trip to Bryant-Denny Stadium to see his uncle Tripp at the Nick Saban football camp. He had a awesome few days up there and learned alot. I love this little boy so much and enjoy watching him grow each and everyday. Here are a few pictures of my precious baby boy! Enjoy!!

Sawyer Hudson Powell is HERE!!!!!

Sawyer Hudson Powell was delivered by c-section on April 21, 2010!! He weighed 5 lbs 6 oz and was 17 3/4 inches long!! He is in the NICU at Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery. He has been able to breath on his on the entire time. The only problem is his digestive system. They have done countless xrays and they don't see any twist or blockages. They seem to think that his digestive system is premature! Thank goodness!! He was on breast milk and his body was not digesting it so they put him on a lacto free formula. Everything was going fine and they switched him back to breast milk. BAD MOVE!!! He was up to eating 25cc of milk and when the nurse checked he had 14cc of the 25cc on his stomach. His stomach was bloated from 26cm to 28cm. They put him on a machine to get all of the liquid off and to help his stomach rest. He has had a much better day today and is not off the machine and only has one iv! They have moved him back to an open crib and is doing well. We are waiting to hear from another Xray that was done at 6pm. If all goes well he will get formula again at his 11:00pm feeding tonight!! We have been so busy going to visit him everyday and appreciate the calls, messages and prayers. We are so in love with this precious gift from God. I know that Sawyer was his before he was mine and I know that God is watching over him all the time!! But here are some pictures of our baby boy!!

29 Weeks and Growing

I am 29 weeks pregnant now!! I cannot believe it!! This pregnancy is going by super fast. I had a my dr. appointment this morning and Dr. Logan said that everything is looking great and Sawyer is already head down!! CRAZY!! He let us hear is heartbeat for a whole total of 5 seconds -- he was on the move!! Here is a little quiz I saw from another blog and thought I would do it just for fun!!

How far along are you? 29 weeks and 2 days
Total weight gain? 13lbs
Maternity Clothes? Yes! Almost all the time!!
just depends.
Sleep? I have to wake up to go to the bathroom about every 3 hours!! Since I now take medicine everyday I can sleep comfortably without Heartburn!!
Best Moment of the Week? hearing Sawyer's heartbeat. That is one of the most precious sounds!!
Food Cravings? The come and go!! Nothing right at the moment though!
Gender? Boy! =)
Labor Signs? A few Braxton Hicks contractions every now and again! Nothing to right home about!!
Belly Button? very ,very shallow!
Stretch Marks? None yet!!! I hope it stays that way!!
What I miss the most? sleeping on my stomach!!
What I'm looking forward to the most? Holding Sawyer, kissing those cheeks, seeing who he really looks like and getting his room ready!!

I hope everybody is enjoying this warmer weather and sunshine!! I know I am!! Hope everybody has a great weekend!!

Sawyer's Up Close and a Quick Update!

I know this is alittle late, but we have had a busy past 2 weeks!! Josh's Grandad had bypass surgery on Friday. Everything went really good and he was able to go home on Wednesday. On the Thursday before the surgery we had Sawyer's 3D/4D ultrasound. It was awesome!! He did so good and we were able to see his precious little face. Although, I have to admit it just made me want to hold him and kiss those chuby cheeks evenmore! I am 28 weeks already (7 months) and I cannot believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by!! Wednesday night Josh decided we should go out on a date since we have not been out in a while. We decided we would go to the Olive Garden. It was so good but my stomach started hurting right after I got done eating. I didn't even finish my ravioli. Needless to say, we didn't even make it home before I had to get Josh to pull over! I was so sick!! I got that nasty bug that has been going around for a few weeks now. I haven't been sick today so I hope that I am going to get back to normal soon!! I just feel so bad for Sawyer because I know this cannot be good for him. I hope everyone has a great weekend!! Here are some of the pictures from the ultrasound!!

Yesterday morning Gunner (my bassett hound) woke me up and to my surprise I saw this

And Gunner left these behind....

Josh and I went over and had breakfast with his mom, his sister, Kaylee and KB. We had a blast playing out in the snow and even made a Deputy Sheriff Snowman!

We enjoyed our snow day so much... well not Josh becasue he was stationed in Alaska with the Air Force for 4 years so he is OVER the snow!! I ended up going to my parents house for the rest of the day and night because I figured Josh would be working wrecks all night!! And incase you were wondering I did not participate in the tubbing activities!! We decided that we did not want Sawyer to come this early! So maybe next year! I hope everyone enjoyed the snow and everyone has a HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

It' a ......

Boy!!! WE could not be more excited! We went to the doctor on Dec 31st and the nurse just by looking at me said "Oh I think you are having a boy." I said, "Well I think it is a girl, but really do not care the sex of the baby!" Well when she started the ultrasound the baby was asleep and had his hand up under his chin resting so cute! SHe woke him up and he started moving around. He was not shy at all and was proud to show off his "boy parts"! Everything look healthy and right on track for a June 2, 2010 due date! We have decided to name him Sawyer Hudson Powell. He is not anmed after anyone we just like these names. We are so excited to meet and hold our sweet miracle baby! I found the baby bedding at Storkland and it was on sale!! I am so ready to get the room started. Pictures of the ultrasound to come!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. 2009 was a great year, but I know with out a doubt that 2010 will be even better!!
