A New Chapter of life!
I have started a new chapter in my life - we'll call it Working Mom! I have been so blessed to find a teaching job and to have stayed home with Sawyer as long as I did! I thank my husband for that! But now that school has started I am
trying to juggle being a wife, mom and teacher! It has been overwhelming at times but I know that there are plenty of
Moms that do it everyday! I now see a glimpse into what my mom did everyday with not one but THREE kids! I am LOVING
My students and school as a whole, but I am so ready to see Josh and saw when school is over! I know that I just need to give all to God and he will see me through! I hope that every one has a great week and weekend!

A Little Request!!
I hope everyone is a having a great weekend!! My blog looks different and I have NO idea what I did!! Anyway, I just wanted to kind of vent.... My grandfather has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and is slowly getting worse. Josh, Sawyer and I went to visit him yesterday at the nursing home. I really didn't want to go to begin with but I felt that I needed to. When we got there, he was in therapy and the aid went and got him for us. He came in and I know he didn't recognize me. He thought Josh was either is brother, nephew, or grandson. I was just an in-law which really doesn't bother me. Then he started talking about someone was going to kill him. He started crying because it is so real to him. He was talking to Josh about it and all I could do was cry! I know that is not the man that I once knew as my POP!! It was just so sad to see him like that. I am so thankful that Josh went with me. He finally calmed down and we were able to visit for a little bit. He was a wonderful man to my Nannie, my mom, my sis, my bother and me. That man knows more about me that my true blood grandfathers. I know my papa loves me but it is just something about Pop. He took me to many Alabama Crimson Tide football games and showed me what it is to be a fan of the greatest team in the SEC!! We would always eat pb and j's for good luck!! I do miss the man that he use to be because I know he is never coming back. This horrible disease has taken over his brain and now all we can do is keep him comfortable. I know this is a lot of rambling but if the people who read my blog just pray for my Pop, my Nannie and the rest of my family!! This is a tough pill of swallow, but I know that with our faith and the guidance of our Lord we will make it through!
On a lighter note.... Sawyer weighs 12 lbs I cannot believe how big he is getting. He will now smile and try to talk to us!! He is such a good baby and I am thankful everyday that he is a happy, healthy and precious baby boy!!
LOVE those cheeks!!
Mr. Hollywood!!
His Whole self!!
LOVE that Smile!!!
Thanks in advance for the preayers and I hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend!!!

TIME FLIES WHEN YOU'RE HAVING FUN!!!!
Sawyer is 8 weeks old now!! I cannot believe how fast these past few weeks have just flown right by. We went to the Dr. today and he weighs 9lbs and 12 oz that is CORRECT!! I cannot believe that he has gained 4 pounds in 2 months!!! CRAZY!! I am so hapy that his is a healthy and growing little boy!! I got some exciting news on Monday that I will be teaching 5th and 6th grade history at Pike LIberal Arts School in Troy! I am so excited yet nervous at the same time. I know I will cry when I have to leave Sawyer and go to work! I can start working on my classroom next week and cannot wait!! But back to what Sawyer and I have been up to! We went swimming at my parents and he even took his first trip to Bryant-Denny Stadium to see his uncle Tripp at the Nick Saban football camp. He had a awesome few days up there and learned alot. I love this little boy so much and enjoy watching him grow each and everyday. Here are a few pictures of my precious baby boy! Enjoy!!

Sawyer Hudson Powell is HERE!!!!!

Sawyer Hudson Powell was delivered by c-section on April 21, 2010!! He weighed 5 lbs 6 oz and was 17 3/4 inches long!! He is in the NICU at Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery. He has been able to breath on his on the entire time. The only problem is his digestive system. They have done countless xrays and they don't see any twist or blockages. They seem to think that his digestive system is premature! Thank goodness!! He was on breast milk and his body was not digesting it so they put him on a lacto free formula. Everything was going fine and they switched him back to breast milk. BAD MOVE!!! He was up to eating 25cc of milk and when the nurse checked he had 14cc of the 25cc on his stomach. His stomach was bloated from 26cm to 28cm. They put him on a machine to get all of the liquid off and to help his stomach rest. He has had a much better day today and is not off the machine and only has one iv! They have moved him back to an open crib and is doing well. We are waiting to hear from another Xray that was done at 6pm. If all goes well he will get formula again at his 11:00pm feeding tonight!! We have been so busy going to visit him everyday and appreciate the calls, messages and prayers. We are so in love with this precious gift from God. I know that Sawyer was his before he was mine and I know that God is watching over him all the time!! But here are some pictures of our baby boy!!
